I like to get all my birthdays noted in my Franklin planner well in advance so that I have plenty of time to plan for the event. And even the birthdays for which there is no big party planned, I always note the birthday of family friends in my planner; that way, I never miss one and when I call I always say, "My planner says it's your birthday!" People have told me that knowing their birthday actually "made" my planner makes them feel loved and appreciated. Great tips! This is how they surprised me: On my actual birthday, we went out to dinner and I had thought THAT was my birthday celebration and it was great...but little did I know they had a bigger celebration in store that following weekend. I thought it was just going to be a nice little beach day with my 2 best friends, but as it turned out, they surprised me with a beach house full of 10-15 of my friends. It was a great surprise birthday weekend and boy was I surprised! So that's another way to surprise someone by "fake" celebrating! :) My friends surprised me last year for my 24th and I never saw it coming.
